Are you an experienced Finance Assistant or Accounts Payable specialist with a background in property costs, utility invoices, and rent billings? Would you like to join a dynamic organisation on an interim basis with the potential for a permanent role?

Robertson Bell is supporting our client to recruit an Interim Accounts Payable Officer on an initial three-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension or permanent employment. The head office is based in East London, offering a hybrid working pattern requiring at least three days in the office per week.

The Interim Accounts Payable Officer’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with key stakeholders, including the property and asset management teams, to resolve queries.
  • Investigating discrepancies, disputes, and billing enquiries with suppliers.
  • Supporting financial reporting and reconciliation processes to maintain accurate records.

The Interim Accounts Payable Officer will have:

  • Proven experience in a finance assistant or payables role, ideally with exposure to property-related costs.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and some experience in accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and support the wider team.
  • A background in property finance, housing associations, charities with housing operations, or property agencies is desirable but not essential.
