Head of Finance - Fully Remote

Fully Remote Part Time Head of Finance opportunity, with just one day per month at the charity's Yorkshire office.

This is a permanent role in which you will have the opportunity to deliver the finance for an organisation genuinely making a difference.

The Role

• Lead the organisation’s finance function, taking ownership of its financial operations and ensuring the effective delivery of day-to-day activities.

• Oversee the production of management accounts and financial information, reviewing journals, reconciliations and reporting to maintain accuracy and consistency.

• Drive the budgeting and forecasting process, using financial analysis to highlight potential challenges, assess organisational performance and support longer-term planning.

• Work alongside senior leaders and trustees, translating financial information into practical insight to support strategic and operational decisions.

• Assess existing finance systems, procedures and controls, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve the overall effectiveness of the function.

• Support and guide the finance team, providing clear direction and helping to build a reliable and well-structured finance operation.

The Person

• A well-rounded finance professional with experience across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control.

• Able to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, making financial information straightforward and relevant to non-finance colleagues.

• A practical and solutions-focused individual who can assess existing processes, introduce improvements and bring greater consistency to the finance function.

• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
