Interim Rent and Income Manager
Are you a Social Housing rents specialist with extensive experience of delivering annual rent-setting exercises? Do you have detailed knowledge of the Rent Standard, formula rents, rent caps and the regulatory framework governing Social Housing rents? Are you available at short notice for a 3–6 month interim assignment?
Robertson Bell is recruiting an Interim Rent and Income Manager to join a London-based Social Housing organisation for an initial 3–6 month contract.
The immediate priority will be taking ownership of the organisation’s annual rent-setting exercise, ensuring rents are calculated accurately, compliantly and implemented correctly across relevant tenures.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the end-to-end rent-setting process.
- Calculating and validating formula rents, rent caps and annual increases.
- Ensuring compliance with the Rent Standard and relevant legislation and regulation.
- Reviewing rent and property data, identifying anomalies and resolving discrepancies.
- Undertaking reconciliations, testing and quality assurance.
- Strengthening rent-setting processes, controls and data quality.
- Providing technical advice to Finance, Housing and other stakeholders.
The role is a Manager grade position with no requirement for line management – meaning the successful candidate can focus on delivering without distraction. The role is based in the London office, twice per week.
We are looking for someone with:
- Significant Social Housing rent-setting experience
- Strong technical knowledge of the Rent Standard
- Excellent analytical and Excel skills.
