About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Interim Finance Officer to join a busy finance team based near Covent Garden. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking for a part-time interim assignment where they can make an immediate impact.

Working closely with the wider finance team, you will take ownership of key transactional finance activities, with a particular focus on accounts receivable, while also providing support across accounts payable and bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable activities, including raising sales invoices and recording incoming income.
  • Monitor outstanding balances, chase overdue payments and maintain accurate debtor records.
  • Prepare aged debtor reports and provide updates on outstanding student fees.
  • Support the administration and reconciliation of student loan including international disbursements.
  • Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment runs.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner.
  • Support the wider finance team with general transactional finance duties and ad hoc tasks as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Finance Administrator or similar transactional finance position.
  • Strong, demonstrable accounts receivable experience, including credit control and payment chasing.
  • Good working knowledge of accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
  • Experience raising invoices, recording income and producing aged debtor reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
  • The confidence to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to support a busy finance team.
  • A genuine interest in a part-time interim opportunity and the ability to commit to three days per week.

Experience working with student fees, education-sector finance or student loan disbursements would be advantageous.

If you are an experienced finance professional with strong receivables skills and are available for an interim part-time opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
