Interim Assistant Accountant - Audit Support

Robertson Bell are supporting a Not-for-Profit organisation to recruit an Interim Assistant Accountant for an initial 3–6 month contract.

Joining a busy finance team during a particularly demanding period, this role will provide additional capacity to support the interim audit and preparations for the next financial year-end.

The key responsibilities include:

• Preparing audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Collating financial information and evidence requested by external auditors.
• Responding promptly and accurately to audit queries.
• Supporting the successful delivery of the interim audit and preparations for year-end.
• Managing competing priorities and delivering a high volume of work to demanding deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant who enjoys working in a high-energy environment and can make an immediate contribution to a busy finance team.

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience supporting external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor queries.
• Part-qualified status (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) as a minimum.
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work at speed, manage a substantial workload and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
