My client is a public sector organisation based in Luton, who are seeking a Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate, currently studying towards a CCAB qualification who would like to progress and develop their management accounting and business partnering skills.

The main responsibilities of the Management Accountant are as follows:

  • Full responsibility for the production of management accounts for own portfolio of directorates, ensuring all month end tasks are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Play a pivotal role in preparing the yearly budgets and long-term forecasts.
  • Building and maintain strong working relationships with senior stakeholders within the organisation gather all information needed for the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements to financial procedures across your portfolio.
  • Present management accounts and budgets for all entities to external advisory boards every quarter, providing commentary on justifications for projections.
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to deliver upcoming projects.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Started studying towards a CCAB qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
