My client is a West London based charity who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their collaborative and vibrant team on a permanent basis for three days per week. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with previous management accounting experience who is excited about the prospect of learning from an experienced line manager whilst working as part of a close-knit team.

The key duties and responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Full responsibility for the end-to-end management accounts process, including preparation of the management pack for the board on a quarterly basis.
  • Produce monthly cashflow statements and assist the Finance Director with year-end.
  • Take the lead on the maintenance of the charity’s fixed asset register.
  • Provide invaluable support in the yearly budget setting procedure.
  • Business partner with a variety of stakeholders up to Director level to explain their financial position and investigate variances as required.
  • Produce regular site and project reports to highlight spending trends and provide necessary analysis to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Play a leading role in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to help the team work more efficiently.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience preparing management accounts from start to finish.
  • Ideally, a background working in either the charity or social housing sectors.
  • Strong Excel skills (vlookups and pivot tables).
  • Part-qualified as an accountancy professional.
  • Good communication skills.
