My client is a South London based not for profit organisation that is looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.  The role will be offered on a remote basis to begin with, but applicants are expected to live within a commutable distance from the office.

The mains responsibilities of this Assistant Financial Accountant role are as follows:

  • Take the lead on preparing reconciliations for the balance sheet and the organisation’s main accounts.
  • Full responsibility for raising invoices related to accounts receivable for designated income streams and posting journals, prepayments and accruals in a timely manner.
  • Provide invaluable support in the year-end process and play a pivotal role in the production of monthly reporting.
  • Sole charge for preparing data related to cashflow.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to support on financial queries and deputise for various members of the finance department in a variety of ad hoc tasks.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Part-qualified or be actively studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification.
  • Experience of doing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ideally a background working in the wider not for profit sector.
  • Strong Excel skills.
