A well-established not-for-profit organisation in London is looking for a Tax Accountant to take the lead on all tax-related matters across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, managing a broad portfolio of tax responsibilities, and becoming the go-to person for tax expertise within a values-driven organisation.

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and other tax filings
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all tax-related queries within the organisation
  • Review transactions and purchases to ensure tax compliance
  • Monitor and research new and emerging tax legislation to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Liaise with HMRC and manage correspondence relating to tax matters
  • Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide advice and support on tax issues
  • Work with an external tax consultant for complex or specialist areas

Essential requirements are:

  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant or tax professional (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ATT, CTA, or other CCAB-recognised body)
  • Solid experience in taxation, including preparing tax returns and applying and interpreting tax legislation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to research technical tax matters
  • Confident communicator who can explain complex issues clearly to non-specialists
  • Self-sufficient, organised, and willing to learn

This is a hybrid role, two days per week in the office, offering an excellent benefits package and opportunity for growth.

If you’re looking to take ownership of a key tax function and grow your expertise in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you.
