Robertson Bell is pleased to be working with a well-respected public sector body to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled finance team within an organisation that plays a central role in preserving the nation’s history and informing its future.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful management information to senior management teams across your assigned business areas.
- Provide incisive variance analysis and work proactively with budget holders to address issues and identify opportunities.
- Support strategic decision-making through investment appraisals and value-for-money analysis.
- Build strong partnerships with Heads of Department and Directors, advising on all financial aspects of planning, performance and forecasting.
- Help shape financial strategy and influence key decisions, applying commercial acumen to complex scenarios.
- Identify and implement process improvements, driving excellence in management reporting.
This role is based in Kew, London, and requires three days per week in the office, with flexible working arrangements for the remaining days.

The successful candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to support business decisions.
- Have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a proven ability to influence at a senior level.
- Be a confident communicator who can translate financial data to non-finance professionals.
- Demonstrate advanced Excel skills and be comfortable using finance systems to support forecasting and reporting.
