This is a fantastic opportunity to join an internationally respected not-for-profit organisation as their new Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. In this newly created, high-impact role, you’ll take the lead on financial strategy, long-term planning and business partnering, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.

The key duties of this Head of Financial Planning & Analysis will be:

  • Lead strategic financial reporting to give a clear picture of both short- and long-term financial position.
  • Design and build financial models to support planning, forecasting, and impact assessment.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to create robust, realistic plans.
  • Drive the financial evaluation of project proposals to inform effective decision-making.
  • Lead and develop the finance business partnering function across the organisation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with operational teams to align financial and strategic planning.
  • Manage and support the FP&A team, ensuring continuous professional growth and development.
  • Support project managers and budget holders to ensure financial sustainability and donor alignment.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A qualified accountant (or able to demonstrate equivalent experience).
  • Experienced in charity financial planning, budgeting, and cost recovery in a complex environment.
  • Comfortable analysing processes and driving process improvements.
  • An excellent communicator, able to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • An empowering manager, with a track record of supporting and developing diverse teams.
  • Ideally familiar with grant accounting and financial sustainability within project-based organisations.

This is a permanent role offered on a hybrid working basis, with only occasional travel (just a few days per month) required to their office in central London
