A forward-thinking national charity working at the heart of the justice system is seeking a Finance Business Partnerto strengthen its financial oversight and performance. This is a key role that blends analysis, business partnering and strategic insight to support the successful delivery of vital services across the country.

The key duties of this Finance Business Partner are as follows:

  • Partner with budget holders across the organisation, providing support, training and challenge.
  • Lead on all financial aspects of contracting, including profitability, cashflow, and bid support.
  • Produce monthly management reports by project and department, highlighting variances and risks.
  • Develop and maintain robust project costing and forecasting models.
  • Ensure donor and commissioner financial reports are accurate and timely.
  • Analyse return on investment of fundraising activities and other initiatives.
  • Improve finance systems and reporting processes to enhance self-service and real-time access.
  • Horizon scan for changes in external conditions that may impact project performance.

The role offers a great mix of strategic and hands-on work, and is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, influencing others, and making an organisation more financially effective.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A fully qualified accountant (or finalist) with strong experience in business partnering.
  • Commercially aware with sound judgement and the ability to analyse and explain complex data.
  • Ideally, experienced in the financial management of contracts or externally funded projects.
  • A confident communicator, able to influence and support non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ideally familiar with the charity or non-profit sector and its funding environment.
  • Experienced in financial modelling & process improvement.

This role offers hybrid working, with two days per week based near White City.
