We are working exclusively with a well-established organisation to recruit a Head of Finance (Property & Maintenance). This is a senior leadership role within the Group FP&A  team, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for a substantial maintenance division with £150mil+ budget.

The key duties of this Head of Finance (Property & Maintenance) will be:

  • Leading the maintenance finance team to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting
  • Driving the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and quarterly reforecasts with comprehensive commentary
  • Partnering with senior operational leaders to support strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis
  • Leading integration of acquisitions within the maintenance finance function, ensuring compliance and identifying efficiency gains
  • Championing continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing processes, systems, and best practices within the team and wider finance division

  • Supporting group-wide financial planning, cash flow forecasting, and statutory accounts preparation

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the finance function for one of the organisation’s largest and most complex operational areas. You will work closely with a range of senior stakeholders across the business, influencing key decisions and helping shape the future financial strategy. The organisation offers flexible working arrangements (only a few times per month required in the office) and a supportive environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A qualified accountant with experience in business partnering with senior operational colleagues and managing complex budgets and forecasts
  • Proven in leading and developing teams, with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic, and highly organised
  • Confident in building relationships across finance and non-finance teams
  • Experience in property, maintenance, social housing, or a related sector would be beneficial but not essential
