Robertson Bell are proud to be exclusively partnering with this inspiring, dynamic Christian charity in their search for a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. This newly created role will play a crucial role in the financial management of the charity, working across a variety of operational departments to support on everything from management accounts to budgeting and forecasting.

The key duties of this Finance Business Partner role are as follows:

  • Full responsibility for managing relationships with a variety of financial and non-financial stakeholders across your directorate.
  • Take the lead in the annual budget setting and quarterly reforecasting processes, ensuring they are accurately communicated across the charity.
  • Produce the monthly management accounts for each of the teams under your remit.
  • Hold regular financial performance review meetings with your budget holders, challenging overspends and assumptions as required.
  • Play a leading role in the review of business cases for new funding, ensuring all costs have been accurately accounted for.
  • Be at the forefront of generating new ideas to improve existing processes and working efficiencies.

The Finance Business Partnering function is relatively new to the charity so this role offers a unique opportunity for someone with previous stakeholder management experience who is looking for the opportunity to put their own stamp on a role and shape their career path. Furthermore, the organisation has a brilliantly flexible approach to working, with the successful candidate only being required to go into their offices a few times per month.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least part qualified as an accountancy professional.
  • Experience in preparing management accounts and business partnering.
  • The confidence to build credibility with senior level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
