Finance Business Partner

What you’ll do

  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accurate analysis of income, expenditure, and departmental budgets.

  • Monitor and control departmental and organisation-wide budgets, identifying efficiencies and contributing to procurement and expenditure plans.

  • Provide financial guidance and training to budget holders, ensuring compliance with policies and processes.

  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and modelling to support decision-making and oversight at all levels.

  • Assist with year-end processes, VAT returns, and audits, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

  • Help maintain financial systems, cashflow forecasting, and payroll processes, providing contingency support as required.

What you’ll need

  • Part-qualified accountant or equivalent, with a desire to continue professional studies (study support is available).

  • Experience in a business partnering role, supporting budget holders and contributing to financial decision-making.

  • Strong communication skills, able to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting, or a willingness to develop in this area.
