Interim Global Financial Controller - Fully Remote

A globally operating organisation is seeking a hands-on Interim Financial Controller to support its finance function during a critical period, preparing the organisation for its upcoming year-end close and audit. This is a short term contract offered on a fully remote basis.

A key focus of this role is supporting the production of accounts under US GAAP, making strong technical knowledge in this area essential. Working closely with senior leadership, you will ensure the organisation’s financial reporting is robust, accurate and audit-ready within a complex international structure.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading preparation for year-end close, including reviewing financial activity across the current fiscal year.
• Supporting the production of financial statements under US GAAP, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
• Performing full balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Supporting consolidation within a multi-entity international structure.
• Advising on and implementing process and control improvements to strengthen financial reporting.
• Working closely with senior finance leadership to ensure readiness for audit.

The successful candidate will:

• Have strong working knowledge of US GAAP (this is essential, candidates without this cannot be considered).
• Be a technically strong, hands-on finance professional with experience operating at Controller or senior accountant level.
• Bring experience working in international, multi-entity environments, including FX accounting.
• Experienced working within a charity.
• Be comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment and quickly adding value.
