Join a growing Strategic Finance team at a large not-for-profit organisation as it expands its Joint Venture (JV) portfolio. This is a newly created role, driven by growth, offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders, major housebuilding partners, and long-term, high-value development projects across the UK.

The role reports into the outstanding Senior Leadership Team and acts as a true 50/50 financial partner to external JV counterparts.

What you’ll do

  • Support the financial management of a growing portfolio of live Joint Ventures, ranging from early planning through to on-site delivery and completion

  • Prepare and consolidate monthly and quarterly JV financial reporting, standardising management accounts received from partners and posting results into the Group’s accounts

  • Track and manage member loan drawdowns and repayments, monitoring cash flows across multiple long-term projects

  • Produce quarterly JV reports for Investment Committee and Major Projects Committee, bringing multiple JVs into a single, coherent narrative

  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support new JV opportunities, due diligence, investment appraisals, and approval papers

  • Undertake scenario and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions (e.g. changes to funding structures, land payment deferrals)

  • Critically review financial information provided by JV partners, challenging assumptions, identifying errors, and ensuring data is fit for purpose

  • Prepare for and attend JV operations board meetings, with the confidence to deputise at exec-level boards when required

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with external JV partner finance teams and internal stakeholders across finance, treasury, and development

What you’ll need

  • To be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or equivalent experience

  • Strong Excel skills, including financial modelling, investment appraisal, and analysis of large, externally produced spreadsheets

  • Commercial acumen, with the confidence to challenge data and influence decisions in a partnership environment

  • Experience working with complex financial information across multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured financial insights to senior audiences

  • An adaptable, proactive mindset suited to a role that is c.65% non-routine and project-driven

If you’re looking for a commercially focused finance role where you can genuinely influence outcomes, build long-term partnerships, and gain exposure to complex, high-value projects, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now to play a key role in shaping a growing Joint Venture portfolio and supporting decisions that deliver lasting impact.
