London, hybrid working, £75,000–£85,000 plus benefits
Join a growing Strategic Finance team at a large not-for-profit organisation as it expands its Joint Venture (JV) portfolio. This is a newly created role, driven by growth, offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders, major housebuilding partners, and long-term, high-value development projects across the UK.
The role reports into the outstanding Senior Leadership Team and acts as a true 50/50 financial partner to external JV counterparts.
Support the financial management of a growing portfolio of live Joint Ventures, ranging from early planning through to on-site delivery and completion
Prepare and consolidate monthly and quarterly JV financial reporting, standardising management accounts received from partners and posting results into the Group’s accounts
Track and manage member loan drawdowns and repayments, monitoring cash flows across multiple long-term projects
Produce quarterly JV reports for Investment Committee and Major Projects Committee, bringing multiple JVs into a single, coherent narrative
Build and maintain robust financial models to support new JV opportunities, due diligence, investment appraisals, and approval papers
Undertake scenario and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions (e.g. changes to funding structures, land payment deferrals)
Critically review financial information provided by JV partners, challenging assumptions, identifying errors, and ensuring data is fit for purpose
Prepare for and attend JV operations board meetings, with the confidence to deputise at exec-level boards when required
Build strong, collaborative relationships with external JV partner finance teams and internal stakeholders across finance, treasury, and development
To be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or equivalent experience
Strong Excel skills, including financial modelling, investment appraisal, and analysis of large, externally produced spreadsheets
Commercial acumen, with the confidence to challenge data and influence decisions in a partnership environment
Experience working with complex financial information across multiple stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured financial insights to senior audiences
