Are you looking for a role in Charity Finance with hands on involvement in ensuring year end is a success?

Robertson Bell are supporting a national Charity in recruiting for an interim Finance Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract. Duties include:

  • Supporting the Finance Director in all year end duties
  • Leading on the internal payroll process, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date and submitted to the external provider
  • Leading on VAT returns and liaison with HMRC
  • Acting as the main point of contact for regional stakeholders, responding to stakeholder queries, typically from individuals with non-finance backgrounds
  • Leading on audit, being the key point of contact for external auditors.

This is a role that can offer someone with strong prior experience supporting or leading year end in the Charity sector the chance to work closely with a very supportive and forthcoming Finance Director and develop and enhance skills, while adding value to a successful Charity and making sure the accounts are delivered successfully.

The organisation is currently working fully remotely, though when guidelines change, there will be some expectation to be in the London office around twice a week.

Candidates should meet these criteria:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant, or QBE, with experience working closely on year end in the Charity sector, ideally in a leading role
  • Be a very strong communicator who can provide support to non-financial stakeholders
  • Have strong experience consolidating Charity group accounts
