This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected not-for-profit organisation as a Management Accountant. Based in Coventry, you’ll work on-site five days per week during a six-month probation period, moving to a hybrid pattern of three days in the office and two from home once probation is complete.
You’ll play a pivotal role supporting the Head of Finance across all areas of financial management, helping to strengthen the organisation’s financial performance and ensure its continued impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, providing clear analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making
Assist with annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with managers to build financial understanding across the organisation
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliations, journals, and control accounts, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant
Support the development and improvement of financial systems, policies, and processes, driving efficiency and good governance
Play a key role in audit preparation and liaise confidently with auditors, external partners, and internal teams
Provide financial guidance and build strong relationships with non-finance colleagues to promote a culture of accountability and transparency

Person Specification
AAT qualified (or equivalent experience); part-qualified ACCA/CIMA welcomed
Strong track record in producing management accounts, analysing variances, and supporting budget management
Solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and reporting processes
Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to solving problems
Skilled communicator who can explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
