Are you pursuing your finance qualification and keen to build a career in the not-for-profit sector? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Robertson Bell is delighted to be working with a respected charity in the care and support sector to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play an active role in supporting vital front-line services, providing meaningful insights that help deliver high-quality care to those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with care and support teams to review financial performance, provide clear insights, and support informed decision-making across multiple service areas.
  • Lead on month-end processes, ensuring accuracy across journals, accruals, and VAT submissions.
  • Manage and monitor budgets, integrating financial management activities into the wider budgeting and forecasting cycle.
  • Provide timely financial information, respond to queries, and support both monthly and year-end reporting processes.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, offering practical recommendations to improve financial efficiency and outcomes for service users.

Based in North London, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement with two days per week in the office. You’ll enjoy a competitive salary, 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, and comprehensive study support including exam fee coverage and dedicated study leave — all within a supportive environment that values professional growth and development.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have experience working within, or a strong understanding of, the care and support or wider not-for-profit sector.
  • Be part-qualified and committed to completing their professional qualification.
  • Bring solid management accounting experience and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
  • Be proactive, analytical, and able to challenge and support operational teams to achieve financial and service objectives.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so don’t delay — apply now to join a charity where your financial expertise will directly contribute to improving lives.
