Do you have a track record of managing end-to-end financial operations in a fast-paced, international environment? Are you passionate about building efficient systems and processes that keep global teams running smoothly? Could you lead and inspire a small team while driving improvements in AP, AR, and expense management? If yes, this could be your next role!

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations for a mission-led, internationally-focused organisation. The Financial Transactions Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing, while leading a small team and driving system improvements across the organisation.

The key duties of this Financial Transactions Manager will be:

  • Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and staff expense processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies.
  • Managing supplier relationships, ensuring due diligence checks, resolving queries, and supporting the adoption of automated processing workflows.
  • Monitoring aged debt, supporting project managers with accurate invoicing, and identifying opportunities to improve invoicing and collection processes.
  • Streamlining staff expense submission and reimbursement, providing training on policies, and implementing digital expense management solutions.
  • Leading process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing AP and AR Officers, setting clear objectives, and tracking performance through relevant KPIs.

This role offers the chance to join a well-respected, impact-driven organisation working at the intersection of local priorities and global challenges. You will have the opportunity to work across continents, collaborate with diverse teams, and lead initiatives that improve financial systems, strengthen controls, and enable the organisation to deliver on its mission more effectively. The role will suit someone who enjoys both the operational and strategic sides of finance, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a passion for process improvement.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Part-qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Experienced in managing end-to-end AP, AR, and staff expense processes, ideally in a non-profit, NGO, or international setting.
  • Confident in multi-currency financial management and working with distributed global teams.
  • Skilled in using financial systems and digital tools to automate workflows and improve reporting.
  • An effective people manager, with experience in mentoring and developing team members.

This is a permanent role offered on a hybrid working basis, with only occasional travel (just a few days per month) required to their office in central London
