Robertson Bell is pleased to once again be partnering with a Housing Association based in Maidenhead who are seeking a Rent and Service Charge Officer to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Following a recent restructure, this newly created role will take responsibility for the placing and maintaining of rent charges and provide valuable support to the service charge setting and reconciliation processes.

The main responsibilities of the Rent and Service Charge Officer include:

  • Follow agreed procedures and valuations to create and maintain rent levels for the organisation’s entire portfolio of properties.
  • Ensure to stay up to date with all relevant compliance and legislation to guarantee that rent levels are in line with best practice and required policies.
  • Provide support to the wider service charge team with service charge estimation and reconciliation cycles.
  • Assist the finance team with the production of year end accounts, providing any schedules/information as required.

This role is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced rent and service charge professional to join a growing finance team and take responsibility for a large portfolio of properties. The organisation is offering excellent benefits, including flexible working with travel to the Maidenhead office only required two days per week.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least three years’ experience working on rent accounting within a housing association.
  • Intermediate excel skills (able to use VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables)
  • Excellent communication skills and be a strong team player.
