This industry leading not-for-profit organisation is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis in this newly created role. This is a unique opportunity to support a strong team of Finance Business Partners and assist in the transition to more efficient and effective financial reporting systems.

The key duties of this Management Accountant are as follows:

  • Take the lead in the production of the monthly management accounts, highlighting key variances to the Finance Business Partners for investigation.
  • Assist in creating monthly flash reports for management and ensuring data accuracy for financial commentary.
  • Play a key role in the annual budget setting process, collating data from various reports.
  • Contribute to forecasting and reforecasting processes, ensuring data integrity.
  • Full responsibility for running transaction reports for financial oversight on performance of the organisation’s project portfolio.
  • Maintain and update staff recharges and project-related financial data.

This is the perfect role for an experienced Management Accountant who is excited at the prospect of being at the forefront of several exciting financial reporting transformational processes, and spotting opportunities and proposing solutions for new areas of improvement. Please note that this role will officially be based out of the organisation’s head office in London, although opportunities to work from home will be on offer for four days per week.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A full accountancy qualification, or the ability to prove they are qualified by experience.
  • Proven background in management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • The ability to identify areas for improvement and excited about driving change.
  • Ideally experience working in the higher education or charity sector, but this is by no means essential.
  • Strong Excel-skills, including experience building data models.
