Are you a senior Finance leader in the Social Housing sector ready for your next challenge? Have you got broad exposure across Housing finance with a firm understanding of the regulatory requirements? Are you looking for an interim post that will combine BAU with ownership of a big picture systems project?

My client is a medium sized Housing Association that continues to perform exceptionally well. Having moved to a very flexible working model, staff are very positive about the working culture and there is a strong Finance team in place.

They are recruiting for a six month fixed term contract as Interim Deputy Director of Finance – Business Planning. The post can have a flexible start date in either January or February and has key responsibilities including:

  • Managing a high functioning team in Finance covering Business Planning, Business Partnering and Treasury Management
  • Leading on the budgeting process, being the face of the finance team and a key point of contact for the wider organisation
  • Reviewing all management accounts and signing off before presentation to Board
  • Supporting the Finance Director by drafting all board reports, deputising for the FD where necessary, and overseeing all regulatory returns
  • Taking ownership of high level treasury activity, advising and supporting on key decisions around loan repayments and securitisation
  • Taking ownership of the upcoming implementation of the finance systems and ensuring a smooth transition to the new systems.

The office is currently only in use for key collaboration events and this is not likely to change during the course of the contract.

To be considered, you will need to meet these criteria:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant and established senior finance leader with experience at senior levels in Social Housing organisations, demonstrating familiarity with regulatory requirements of the sector, as well as Business Planning
  • Be a strong and respected team leader who can inspire, motivate and support
