Finance Systems Manager - Unit 4
Robertson Bell are supporting a large, complex international charity to recruit a Finance Systems Manager on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance systems professional with strong Unit4 expertise to take ownership of a well-established cloud finance system in a live environment.
The role
Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will act as the organisation’s Unit4 specialist, responsible for the ongoing administration, optimisation, and development of the Unit4 cloud finance system. This is a business-as-usual focused role centred on embedding, improving, and supporting Unit4 rather than leading a major implementation.
Key responsibilities
- Own configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of Unit4 financial modules
- Provide day-to-day Unit4 administration, troubleshooting, and user support
- Manage user access, security roles, workflows, and coding structures within Unit4
- Develop and maintain financial reports and ensure Unit4 data integrity
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities leveraging Unit4 capability
- Deliver Unit4 user training and maintain system documentation
- Support audits and ensure strong financial controls within Unit4
- Work closely with Finance, IT, and external Unit4 partners to deliver enhancements

The role offers hybrid working, anywhere between three days per week and once per month depending on location.
The successful candidate
- Strong hands-on experience supporting and administering Unit4 in a live environment
- Good understanding of financial controls, reporting, and accounting processes within Unit4
- Confident troubleshooting Unit4 issues and supporting non-technical users
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proactive mindset with an interest in continuous improvement
