Robertson Bell is pleased to be partnering with this London based Housing Association who are seeking a Head of Rent and Service Charges to join their team on a permanent basis. My client is seeking an experienced manager to hit the ground running in this role, transforming the department, and redesigning the rent and service charge processes.

The main responsibilities of the Head of Rent and Service Charges role include:

  • Create a redesigned service charge budget calculation and implementation process, as well as ensuring the accurate calculation and distribution of all service charges going forward.
  • Manage a team of four rent and service charge officers, providing continuous training and support for the department to reach their full potential and deliver excellent service.
  • Identify and implement process improvements throughout the rent and service charge function to improve efficiencies and performance.
  • Take ownership of all relevant audit queries, providing all evidence schedules where required.
  • Ensure the team provide excellent customer service in relation to all incoming tenants queries and complaints.
  • Liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders in relation to all service charge and rent related matters.

The successful candidate will be:

  • At least part qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experienced in setting service charge budgets.
  • A confident self-starter with a proven track record in managing and motivating teams.
  • An intermediate user of Excel.
