Are you an experienced Head of Finance who is looking for a new challenge? Keen to work for an inspiring charity with ambitious growth plans? Looking for a role that oversees a variety of areas and reports directly into the CEO? If yes, please read on for more information!

Robertson Bell are working with this small but vibrant charity whilst they recruit to this permanent Head of Finance and Resources role on a part-time basis. Reporting into the CEO you will manage a small team, be a key member of the senior management team and oversee a range of operational functions.

The key duties of this Part-Time Head of Finance and Resources role are as follows:

  • Be accountable for the organisation’s resources whilst leading the Finance, IT, Office and Administration functions.
  • Prepare board packs and present these at regular meetings as well as being a part of the audit and risk committee.
  • Hold full responsibility for all financial planning and analysis for the charity, taking the lead on financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Managing the wider finance and operations team, offering opportunity for necessary development and training and ensuring a high performing culture.
  • Manage all year and month end activity, including management of the audit schedule and production of management information packs.
  • Maintain relationships with outsourced service providers and be a proactive member of the Senior Management Team.

This part-time Head of Finance and Resources role will officially be based out of the charity’s head office in London, however, flexible working arrangements from home will be on offer. It will suit someone with previous experience working in a senior accounting role within the charity sector who is now looking for a new challenge as the number one in finance.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
  • Have previous experience working in the charity sector at a senior level.
  • Ideally have experience managing wider operations, but this is by no means essential.
  • Have previously managed staff.
  • Be a strong communicator.
