Robertson Bell is pleased to be working with a not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Finance Officer on a 7-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on role offers full ownership of the Accounts Payable function, alongside involvement in expense claims, sales invoicing and project coding. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key part in a small, supportive finance team at a time of process improvement and systems change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices weekly and manage regular payment runs
- Handle credit card expenses and non-card claims per week
- Support with sales invoicing and allocation of income across project codes
- Respond to finance queries and assist teams with coding and manual processes
- Maintain accurate VAT records and ensure compliance without a PO system
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and system development
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable
- Strong background in invoice processing, payment runs, and expense claims
- Experience with project code allocation and bank reconciliations is desirable
- Confident communicator able to support non-finance staff
- Strong systems knowledge and quick to pick up new platforms
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach
