Robertson Bell are partnering with this fantastic and hugely dynamic housing association whilst they recruit for a permanent Finance Business Partner. Reporting into the Head of Finance Business Partnering you will work closely with the senior management team and will manage critical internal reporting. This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified accountant who has had previous exposure to budgeting and forecasting. Duties will include:

  • Attend key meetings and collaborate across the business leading on regular liaison with Budget Holders of all levels ensuring provided information is in an accessible format.
  • Lead on the preparation of income and expenditure reports and monitor spend against budget.
  • Drive value for money initiatives and ensure a proactive approach it always taken as opposed to being reactive.
  • Provide necessary information to create, enhance and develop both the five- and thirty-year plan.
  • Analysis of complex income streams and create the cash flow forecast and group balance sheet on a monthly basis.
  • Lead on the preparation of budgets and oversee the rolling monthly and quarterly forecasts for the Board.
  • Oversee financial systems suggesting improvements.
  • Provide management accounts commentary and narrative for the Head of Finance Business Partnering and wider organisation.
  • Manage the development and training of three members of staff.

The opportunity will best suit someone with previous experience as a Finance Business Partner within a large organisation. This is a full-time position which will be based from the organisations head office near Reading and will offer flexible home working too.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Accountant.
  • Have a solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting.
  • Have previous business partnering experience ideally within an IT directorate.
  • Be an excellent communicator.
  • Have knowledge of business cases.
