A well-respected not-for-profit organisation is seeking a Financial Analyst to support one of the most important and high-profile areas of its work. This is a pivotal role that combines core month-end responsibilities with in-depth analysis and project support, contributing to informed decision-making across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Partner with teams to support project work, cost tracking and financial analysis

  • Provide insightful commentary to guide operational and strategic decisions

  • Meet with senior stakeholders to gather financial and operational data to inform analysis

  • Lead the month-end process for a key business area, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

  • Prepare clear and concise financial reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders

  • Work closely with colleagues across finance and operations to maintain strong financial oversight

This is a hybrid role, with just 2 days a week in the office (based in Central London) and the rest from home. The organisation champions flexible working and supports a healthy work-life balance.

Person Specification:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in a Financial Analyst role, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent Excel skills, with confidence handling and interpreting complex financial data

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in a business partnering context

  • Experience working in a large-scale organisation is essential

  • Knowledge or experience of development finance or capital projects is highly desirable
