My client is a West London based housing association who are currently seeking a Senior Development Accountant to join their vibrant team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Development Finance and overseeing a team of three, you will be responsible for managing the provision of financial information for a select portfolio of Work in Progress Schemes.

The key duties of this Senior Development Accountant are as follows:

  • Full responsibility for managing the delivery of financial scheme reports for your designated development portfolio.
  • Manage and develop a small Development Finance Team, providing training as required and giving them every opportunity to progress in their careers.
  • Act as the key contact for the External Auditors at year end for all matters relating to your portfolio.
  • Take the lead in the review of balance sheet reconciliations, impairments and journals, making adjustments as required.
  • Be the subject matter expert for all financial matters relating to your development portfolio, business partnering with a variety of stakeholders as required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Achieved their full CCAB qualification.
  • Ideally, experience managing a small team of finance professionals.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management and balance sheet reconciliations experience.
  • Experience in development or capital finance.  
  • Preferably, a background working in a medium or large sized organisation in the housing, property, construction or other similar sector.
