Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for a Financial Accounting Manager. Our Bristol based client is a medium sized (circa £68m T.O) organisation. This post is a 1-year fixed term contract to provide cover whilst the permanent post holder is on secondment.
The organisation has gone through a significant period of change with the implementation of a new finance system and also a restructure within the finance team. As the Financial Accounting Manager, you will have line management responsibilities of two part-qualified accountants and you will report into the Head of Finance. Specific responsibilities include:
*Review the monthly balance sheet reconciliation accounts that the part qualified accountants produce. Ensuring any issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
*Prepare the year end account including the initial draft accounts.
*Continually managing the system migration process to ensure the balances match up from the old system to the new system.
*Leading on liaising with internal and external auditors.
The successful candidate likely be a part qualified or qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) accountant that has proven experience in producing year end accounts within IFRS. Ideally you will have previous experience of line managing at least 1 member of staff, but this is not essential as they are willing to take candidates on that are looking for a step-up position. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
