My client is a growing social housing provider based across the West Midlands, who are seeking a Service Charge Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will be focused on investigating and resolving any disputes in relation to service charges and leasehold queries, in line with current legislation. Reporting into the into the Head of Income, this role will work autonomously to provide an excellent customer service on behalf of the organisation.

The main responsibilities of the Service Charge Administrator include:

  • Lead on customer queries and complaints on all service charge and leasehold queries.
  • Provide an excellent customer service on behalf of the organisation.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to monitor service charge expenditure, to identify any variances with the estimated budget, and communicating any concerns to the internal team.
  • Partner with the Treasury Accounting team to obtain calculations on service charges to be communicated and explained to customers in relation to queries.
  • ┬áLiaise with the Sales and Development teams to improve handover processes, to make certain that all information in relation to managing agents / service charges.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in dealing with customer queries in relation to service charges/ leaseholders/shared ownership.
  • A demonstrable track record of providing excellent customer service via phone, email and face-to-face.
  • A proactive work ethic and a strong ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
