Robertson Bell Procurement are working with a Surrey based Housing Association to recruit a Procurement Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting into a forward-thinking Deputy Finance Director who is open to change, the main responsibilities of the role are as follows:
*Oversee the day to day procurement activity for the group, ensuring value for money whilst adhering to the most recent legislation.
*Deliver annual procurement savings by automating and standardising the organisation’s approach to procurement.
*Advise and train budget holders on procurement policy and the correct approach that should be taken to effectively manage their budgets.
*Provide contract management advice to key stakeholders and ensure that contracts are in place for all significant expenditure.
*Monitor expenditure trends to identify business areas that cost efficiencies can be made and prioritise resources accordingly.
The successful candidate will ideally be CIPS qualified, although this is not essential. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with key stakeholders both internally and externally. In addition to this, you will be adept at quickly forming working relationships to draw together working teams from across the business.
