Are you looking for a role where your faith is central to your work? Do you thrive in accounts receivable roles and enjoy getting into the detail? Are you confident working with multiple stakeholders and reconciling high volumes of transactions? If yes, this could be the role for you!

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join a Christian organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable people in society on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an organisation where faith is at the heart of everything they do, including daily group prayer.

In this role, you will:

  • Process new admissions by setting up accurate sales ledger accounts in Sage 200.
  • Prepare and send admission documentation, including calculation sheets, welcome letters, and direct debit forms.
  • Manage a combination of private and local authority payments, navigating varying processes and payment schedules.
  • Actively chase outstanding payments using a combination of email and phone calls, maintaining regular contact with business managers.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate allocation of both private and local authority contributions.
  • Provide clear, tactful explanations of financial matters to key stakeholders.

This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home, with two set days a week in their South East London office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). In return for your expertise, you’ll enjoy a generous benefits package including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, study support, access to Perkbox, Medi-cash for healthcare costs (including dental and physiotherapy), and regular staff incentives designed to reward your contribution.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong experience in accounts receivable, ideally in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment.
  • Bring a basic understanding of nominal ledgers and reconciliation – AAT studies or equivalent would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, tactful communication skills and excellent time management.
  • Be adaptable, collaborative and committed to staying with the organisation for the long term.

Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, so please apply early to avoid missing out on this great opportunity!
