Will your next role be one where you have full responsibility for the financial statements produced by a highly successful Housing organisation? Do you want to recruit and build a high performing team? Can you deliver scrutiny on financial control, ensure accuracy in complex accounts, and identify opportunities to improve financial processes?

My client, an award-winning Housing provider in the South East, has been delivering consistently high standards for many years and is now looking forward to its next phase of growth. A recent structure change has created a Group Financial Controller position, with key responsibilities including:

  • Leading the production of annual statutory accounts, in addition to taking ownership of regulatory returns, as well as leading the audit process and being the key point of contact for external auditors
  • Creating and delivering a culture of reliability in financial control, ensuring that all financial records for the Group are accurately maintained – including having full ownership of the balance sheet and financial systems
  • Providing high level reports to Finance and Audit Committee to keep the Board up to date with the latest developments in the financial position of the organisation
  • Building a high-flying team and prioritising internal development

This is a role that will have a great influence over the financial success of an already successful organisation. With high standards already commonplace in the organisation, this should be seen as an opportunity to join at a time where the ship is already steady and further improvements in financial control, processes and procedures will always be welcome.

In return, you will be a part of a successful and dedicated leadership team. Remote working is proudly offered and while the office is on offer to all staff, moving forward it will be more of a collaboration space, enabling you to work flexibly.

Applicants under consideration will be:

  • Fully qualified with substantial post-qualified experience in technical finance positions
  • A solid understanding of Housing sector finance regulations and accounting standards
  • A confident team leader who has a proven history of inspiring, developing, and motivating staff.

Applications will be reviewed daily – please don’t wait to make your application!
