This role offers a rare opportunity to take ownership of the financial performance of several trading entities, while working closely with senior leadership to drive improvement, strengthen controls and enhance commercial decision-making.
This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is on the path to becoming a future Finance Director. You will gain broad exposure across a complex group structure, lead on end-to-end financial management for your entities and play a central role in shaping the organisation’s ongoing transformation journey.
Working within a modernised group finance function, you will partner with operational leaders, manage a small team and ensure financial processes are robust, timely and insightful.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the lead finance contact for a portfolio of trading subsidiaries, owning the full P&L, balance sheet, forecasting and monthly reporting cycles.
- Business partnering with operational managers and service leads to support performance, challenge assumptions and drive commercial outcomes.
- Leading the month-end close, reviewing reconciliations, cash flows and financial analysis.
- Overseeing and developing part-qualified staff, ensuring high-quality output and clear progression pathways.
- Supporting systems and process improvements across the group, contributing to an ongoing programme of financial transformation.
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders on budgeting, performance reviews and strategic planning.
- Ensuring strong financial governance and consistency across all assigned entities.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), ideally 1–4 years post-qualification.
- Bring experience from a commercial, trading or complex multi-entity environment.
- Have strong business partnering skills with the confidence to influence at senior levels.
- Demonstrate experience leading month-end processes and reviewing key financial schedules.
- Have experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
- Thrive in changing environments and be comfortable working with imperfect or evolving systems.
- Be driven, proactive and motivated to progress toward a Finance Director career path.
