Robertson Bell are delighted to be working with this unique charity whilst they search for a new Finance Business Partner to join their vibrant team on a permanent basis. Reporting into an experienced, well-respected Finance Director, this opportunity holds a key position within the charity and will have sole responsibility for the business partnering function.

The main duties and responsibilities of this Finance Business Partner role are as follows:

  • Influence senior members of the organisation to ensure alignment with organisational strategy, providing financial analysis to aid decision making as required.
  • Oversee the forecasting and budgeting process for each department and the charity as a whole.
  • Act as the lead on the development of the three-year financial model.
  • Regularly with budget holders to ensure they are on track with spending.
  • Take the lead on the monthly reporting cycle, including the preparation of the monthly management accounts with supporting variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Be at the forefront of generating new ideas and evaluating prospects with regards to developing new lines of business for the charity
  • Act as subject matter expert for any issues or queries relating to finance, rolling out any finance training to internal staff as necessary.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Part-qualified as an accountant.
  • Experience preparing monthly management accounts and annual budgets.
  • Ideally, a background working in the charity sector. However, candidates without this are still strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the confidence communicating with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Although home-based initially, applicants must live within a commutable distance from their head office based in London.
