My client is a leading residential property developer, based in Hertfordshire, looking for a Finance Business Partner – Development to join the team in a vitally important role that leads on the finances for a huge development programme.

The main responsibilities for the Finance Business Partner – Development role are follows:

  • Liaise closely with staff up to director level within the development team, acting as their financial matter expert and challenging them on any unaccounted-for costs or overspends.
  • Lead on the production of project budgets and forecasts.
  • Produce regular appraisals on future developments, joint ventures and acquisitions.
  • Prepare financial reports for all the projects within your remit, ensuring they are consistently monitored and working to within budget and timescales.

The successful candidate for the Finance Business Partner – Development role will have:

  • Experience of either working within a development finance role in the property or construction sectors or be a practice auditor whose clients are primarily within these sectors.
  • Ideally qualified as an accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.), however, experienced candidates without this are still encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent financial modelling and appraisal skills.
  • Proven experience of working closely with non-finance senior stakeholders and the confidence to challenge when required.
