What you’ll do
- Lead the organisation’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, statutory reporting, and service charges.
- Partner with senior leaders to optimise resources, improve efficiency, and deliver value for money.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance systems, processes, and reporting.
- Provide clear, actionable financial advice to senior management and the Board.
- Support strategic projects, including long-term financial planning and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and governance.
- Lead, mentor, and empower the finance team, fostering accountability, professionalism, and high performance.
What you’ll need
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW) or equivalent, with ongoing professional membership.
- Extensive experience in senior financial leadership, ideally within housing or a multi-entity environment.
- Strong technical expertise in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to translate complex financial information for non-financial audiences.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive change in a complex environment.
Location
- This role requires one day a week in the east London head office with occasional attendance for specific meetings.
