Robertson Bell is pleased to be partnering with this arms-length Government body, who are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team on a two-year fixed-term contract, with the potential to go permanent. The purpose of this role will be to collate and interpret large amounts of financial data in relation to various projects within the organisation to communicate the financial performance of projects to both internal and external stakeholders.

The main responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst will include:

  • Interpret highly complex financial information to provide detailed strategic analysis on both individual projects and the financial position of the organisation.
  • Write analytical reports based on large data sets and financial models, providing thoughtful and analytical discussion to aid the financial planning process.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across various departments to provide financial analysis and strategic support on the financial performance of their various projects.
  • Liaise with external advisors on the current regulatory and macroeconomic environment, that will have an impact on the organisations forecasted revenues.
  • Provide accurate preparation of the organisation's provisions in a timely manner to be submitted for the annual accounts.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Fully qualified with a CCAB qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc)
  • Well experienced in financial and management accounting, as well as providing financial analysis.
  • A confident communicator who has a demonstrable ability to develop strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • An intermediate user of Excel.
