What you’ll do

  • Lead group-level financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation, and consolidation activity

  • Manage the audit process, ensuring schedules, reconciliations, and documentation are accurate and complete

  • Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance on complex or novel transactions

  • Maintain a strong internal control environment and identify process improvements

  • Translate technical accounting concepts for non-finance colleagues across the organisation

  • Oversee key accounting activities including journals, Chart of Accounts management, and financial schedules

  • Liaise with internal teams, auditors, and joint venture partners to ensure clarity and compliance

What you’ll need

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA) with strong technical accounting capability

  • Experience working in large, complex, multi-entity environments

  • Strong understanding of FRS 102 and related reporting frameworks

  • Proven leadership skills with experience developing and motivating finance teams

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess financial risk and implications

  • Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and explain accounting impacts

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities
