Part-Time Finance Business Partner
London | Hybrid working (1 day per week in the office) | £48,000) | 4 days per week

A growing, purpose-driven organisation is seeking a Part-Time Finance Business Partner to join its small but expanding finance team. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, improving processes, and supporting senior leaders with clear and meaningful financial insight.

The successful candidate will take ownership of core management accounting responsibilities while helping to streamline reporting and improve systems. What you’ll do

  • Drive the month-end process to deliver accurate management accounts on time
  • Produce monthly P&L reports with clear variance analysis for senior managers
  • Apply accounting treatments including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
  • Lead the implementation of a new accounting system and streamline reporting
  • Reconcile income streams and ensure correct revenue recognition for contracts
  • Collaborate with the Finance Officer to maintain robust financial controls
  • Generate detailed financial reports for budget holders and support their decisions
  • Act as the finance point of contact across teams, translating data into insight
  • Support the year-end audit with reconciliations and schedules
  • Assist with VAT returns and key balance sheet reconciliations including payroll, pensions, and company cards
  • Drive improvements in finance processes and reporting as the organisation grows

What you’ll need

  • Part-qualified Accountant or currently studying towards a professional qualification
  • Strong management accounting experience including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
  • Ability to analyse financial data, explain variances and produce clear reports
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with non-financial managers
  • Experience supporting the year-end audit process
  • A proactive approach with an interest in improving processes and systems
