Are you looking for a new opportunity in international finance, within a large, widely recognised charity? Do you have exposure to donor reporting and managing restricted funds? Are you available at short notice? If so, this opportunity may be for you.

Robertson Bell are excited to be working with a large international charity to recruit an Interim Grants Finance Officer on an initial 1-year FTC with the likelihood of going permanent.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take the lead on the financial management of all donor-funded projects for your region across their lifecycle (DFID, EC, UN etc.).
  • Full responsibility for reviewing all monthly financial reports prior to donor submission, ensuring all costs have correctly been accounted for and everything reconciles.
  • Provide invaluable support to the in-country teams right from the programme bid development stage, scoping programmes to put together budgets to submit to the donors.
  • Business partner with the Regional Finance Teams, challenging attitudes, dealing with queries, and delivering training programmes as required to boost financial understanding.

This Interim Grants Finance Officer will initially work remotely before moving back to their central London based office on a hybrid working situation. The successful candidate will:

  • Part-qualified as an accountant or be actively studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
  • A background working with donors, ideally within the international charity sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and monthly reporting.
  • A passion for international development.
