If yes, read on!

Robertson Bell are proud to once again be working with this £100million charitable organisation in their search for a Head of Financial Planning & Reporting to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the CFO, this newly created role will be responsible for taking the lead on all things financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting; a function that is likely to expand significantly over the next 12 months.

The key duties of this Head of Financial Planning & Reporting role are as follows:

  • Full responsibility for developing and implementing financial performance management practices across the charity.
  • Take the lead on the coordination of the annual and longer-term budget setting processes.
  • Ensure the provision of sound financial information and advice to all stakeholders and the wider organisation to inform decision making.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly and longer-term forecasting processes, developing existing procedures where required.
  • As a member of the Senior Management Team, attend regular meetings to contribute towards the development of the charity’s financial strategy.
  • Work closely with the IT team in the establishment of more fit for purpose financial systems.
  • Grow the Financial Planning team, taking the lead in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.

This unique Head of Financial Planning & Reporting role offers the perfect opportunity for someone with experience in financial planning who is excited at the prospect of establishing a new function from scratch and shaping their own role whilst working under the supportive leadership of an experienced CFO. Furthermore, this role will officially be based within the organisation’s state of the art offices in central London, but hugely flexible working arrangements will be on offer.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Achieved their full accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent).
  • Have experience leading on the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning of a large organisation.
  • Ideally, a background working in the not-for-profit sector, but this is by no means essential.
  • Experience of or the desire to manage a small team.
  • The confidence to business partner with Executive level stakeholders.

This is a truly brilliant opportunity that will have the genuine capacity to influence the future reporting architecture of an impressive charity, so is certainly not one to be missed!
