Are you looking for a role where your faith is central to your work? Are you a finance professional with a strong foundation in reporting and reconciliation? Do you have a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage high-volume data? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are delighted to be recruiting a Financial Accountant to join a Christian organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable people in society. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an organisation where faith is at the heart of everything they do, including daily group prayer.

In this role, you will:

  • Play an active role in the organisation’s faith-based culture, participating in daily group prayer and aligning with the mission-driven work.
  • Support in month-end reconciliations across multiple legal entities and cost centres.
  • Assist with reporting processes, including the preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements, and cashflow reports.
  • Work on reporting templates, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across financial reports.
  • Review ledgers and financial records, supporting the Financial Controller with reconciliations and reporting.
  • Contribute to the distribution of management reporting tools to cost centre managers, ensuring clarity and efficiency in financial communication.

Based in London, this role requires you to work in the office two days per week and offers an excellent employee benefits package, including 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as access to Medicare.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Be AAT Level 3/4 qualified or hold a university degree with relevant experience.
  • Have a solid understanding of accounting principles, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Possess strong Excel skills, beyond basic pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, with the ability to merge and manipulate data effectively.
  • Ideally have experience using Sage, though this is not essential.
  • Be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, so please apply early to avoid disappointment!
