My client is a London based housing association who is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. This critical role will support a high performing finance team following the acquisition of several new subsidiaries. Through improvements to operational efficiency and the provision of financial support, you will enable to Group to smoothly absorb the finances of these new entities.

The key duties and responsibilities of this Assistant Accountant role are as follows:

  • Full responsibility for setting up and developing the monthly and yearly reporting processes for the organisation’s newly acquired subsidiaries.
  • Prepare financial statements for the organisation’s key subsidiaries and be a key contact for the External Auditors at year end.
  • Regularly liaise with senior stakeholders to provide sound financial advice to aid decision making and support them in the preparation of the annual budgets.

Although initially homebased, applicants will need to live within a commutable distance from their offices in London. This is the perfect opportunity for a driven, ambitious accountancy professional with previous experience in management and financial accounts who is looking to join a vibrant, dynamic organisation that has recently been through a period of change.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Part qualified as an accountant. However, candidates who are active studiers and have good, demonstrable experience will still be considered.
