Are you interested in the world of Property Development? Do you wish you could apply your financial knowledge and strong Excel skills to a role forecasting the viability of large property development schemes? Are you able to effectively communicate the findings of your analysis to a variety of senior stakeholders?

My client is a Housing Developer in Berkshire that has one of the most impressive development portfolios in the country, now looking for extra support to contribute to its growth. As the Property Development Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Create and amend financial models to support investment appraisals looking at new development opportunities and assessing the viability of various schemes proposed projects
  • Support senior leadership by taking the output of complex financial models to offer insight into the projected delivery of development schemes, supporting a long-term financial plan of up to 40 years
  • Work in a non-routine, ad hoc and responsive fashion to provide data insight to challenge project leadership on their figures, providing scrutiny and detail to ensure the successful delivery of major works
  • Continually update models to reflect external influences and socio-political factors that could affect the forecasted cash flow
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing cash flow information and liaising with Development and Treasury teams as well as providing supporting information to inform the long-term financial plan.

This is a fascinating role in a highly sought-after area of Finance. With the Housing situation in the UK being a media focal point, this is a role working on high profile developments that will ultimately have a dramatic effect on the lives and wellbeing of real people in real communities. Your work will directly contribute to more people living in homes that support their needs, so you can feel proud that your work has a grand purpose.

Furthermore, the role will give you exposure to a niche area of Finance and exercise skills that are sought after in more senior positions, meaning this is an excellent career development opportunity for someone with the right skillset.

You will be able to work highly remotely, owing to the organisation’s continued success with agile working this year.

Here are the criteria to meet before you apply for the role of Property Development Financial Analyst:

  • Have strong experience in creating and/or manipulating financial models, ideally within a Property Development, Real Estate, Infrastructure/Major Works, or Housing environment (though those without experience in these sectors should still apply)
  • Have familiarity with cash flow forecasting, investment appraisal, and financial appraisal tools and techniques
  • Ideally be a part or fully qualified accountant, though candidates without this qualification are still encouraged to apply
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with, influence, and support senior stakeholders.

The role can close when suitable candidates come forward – please apply now to avoid missing out!
