Are you an experienced finance professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring payroll accuracy? Do you want to play a vital role in a supportive Multi-Academy Trust, contributing to both day-to-day finance functions and the broader success of our schools? If so, keep reading!

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Payroll and Finance Lead, where you’ll take the lead on payroll management and support various financial operations across our Trust. This role is perfect for someone who is ready to take ownership of payroll processes, while also being involved in diverse finance tasks.

In this Payroll and Finance Lead role, you will:

  • Oversee payroll as a primary responsibility, ensuring accuracy and integrity in the wake of last year's fraud incident. You’ll be working closely with our external payroll bureau, verifying their work, and managing the system for starters and leavers.
  • Handle incoming financial communications, including purchase orders and invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Add new suppliers to the system and monitor transactions, especially with our new catering provider, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Support financial operations across different schools within our Trust, offering flexibility and variety in your daily tasks.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within our Multi-Academy Trust, ensuring that payroll and financial processes are managed with the utmost care and accuracy. This role is remote with occasional travel to Royal Tunbridge Wells.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Ideally AAT Level 4 qualified, with solid experience in payroll management, particularly in working with payroll bureaus. Experience with pensions and internal payroll systems would be a bonus.
  • Experiences in the education or charity sectors.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and ensure the accuracy of financial processes.
  • Energetic, dedicated and have a positive attitude, making you a proactive and reliable member of our team.

This role provides the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with opportunities to contribute across our schools. If you’re ready to take on this exciting challenge, apply now!
