Robertson Bell are proud to be exclusively partnering with this rapidly growing charity in their search for a new Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis in this exciting, newly created role. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will provide critical support to the charity’s most high profile and ever-growing division, producing monthly reports and financial analysis to enable continued growth and drive decision making.

The key duties and responsibilities of this Management Accountant role are as follows:

  • Full responsibility for preparing the management accounts for your directorate, including preparation of reconciliations and accruals, investigating any discrepancies and preparing commentaries as required.
  • Work closely with your stakeholders and the Director of your remit to prepare the yearly budgets.
  • Provide vital support in the development of budget proposals for new funding, ensuring all costs have correctly been accounted for.
  • Take the lead on the production of restricted funds reports for senior management.
  • Play a key role in the preparation of financial analysis, including the comparison of actual performance against budgets to monitor financial position and aid decision making.
  • Ensure that all Gift Aid data is accurately processed prior to submission.
  • Be at the forefront of generating new ideas with regards to streamlining processes to improve efficiency.

This Management Accountant role comes at an exciting time for the charity as they have just seen a phenomenal period of growth and this is expected to continue into the future. It offers a brilliant opportunity for someone with previous experience in management accounts who is looking for a new challenge and is keen to gain exposure to working with senior audiences. Although this will be offered on a remote basis initially, applicants must live within a commutable distance from their head office in London, so please only apply if you do so.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Reached the final stages of their CCAB qualification.
  • Proven experience producing management accounts from start to finish.
  • Ideally, a background working in the charity sector, but this is by no means essential.
  • The confidence to communicate and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
